Generally, chakra healing is widely used in India. It is believed that energy centers, called chakras, when cleared and balanced bring vitality to the individual.

History Of The 12 Chakra System

The 12 chakra system was originally discussed in verses 29 and 30 of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra, a Sanskrit scripture written in Kashmir between the 7th and 9th centuries. By the 15th century, though, the 7 chakra system became dominant.
