There may be occasions in your life when you find yourself utterly shocked at how another person can treat you with so little consideration. People may try to disguise their insults, calling them sarcasm or the like, but you should strive to remember that behind cruel remarks always lie wounds.

Similar to anger, pain and fear are truly dealt with best by addressing them, rather than running from them or trying to bury them away. When others can't do that, and lash out at you, work to use the way they make you feel to remind yourself not to treat others in that manner.

Know that the path to true happiness lies in not dwelling in darkness or feeding negativity, but in finding and honoring the places of joy and light in our lives.
